Unit 5
Day 1:
Students will use the line of best fit to find equations of lines.
The line of best fit is a line that crosses at least two points on a graph and has around the same number of points above it as below it.
1. Using Figure 1 draw a line of best fit.
2. Draw a line of best fit for Figure 2.
3. Using Figure 1 find the slope with the line of best fit.

3. First find the points (12,200) and (22,500) that were plotted on you're line of best fit. Then use the equation m=y2-y1/x2-x1 with y2 being 500, y1 being 200, x2 being 22, and x1 being 12 to find the slope. The slope is 30.
